And We'll Never Be Royals
My love affair with the Royal Family is not a secret. I had not so secretly beleived I would marry into the royal family by winning Prince Harry's heart -- I have chosen to ignore his engagement and upcoming wedding and no longer watch Suits. And so it's difficult for me to focus my attention on the Cambridges without seeing all the Harry coverage.
I could go on and on about my heartbreak but I think I’m still in denial about everything. I mean I know I didn’t suffer in 2012 when I tried to pull a Princess Mary of Denmark in London, but still! My heart was still hoping and praying. But I digress.
So any news that isnt related to Harry (as part of a couple — because I’ll still love him from afar) makes me happy and this week, we got the birth of the William and Kate's third child, another prince! I honestly thought they'd stop at 2 kids -- especially since they already got a boy and a girl. But I guess if anyone would go all out, why not the royals.
It super warms my heart the way Kate and William have built their little family. When they got engaged, I freaked out and we planned a wedding viewing party. When George came along and Kate did the Diana homage with her dress, I died. They had a prince! An heir! Then Charlotte came along and I thought, oh the family is complete now, how perfect!
But then they dropped the mic on this one and a third kid?! How many royals have had more than 2 kids in their generation or their parents generation? Not a lot, right? I like that they're breaking tradition and just rolling out them kids. A fourth one, maybe? Probably not, but I wouldn't be surprised.
And to name him Louis Arthur Charles! I was hoping for a Henry in there, because of good old uncle Harry but I think it's also a great name choice altogether. I can't wait to see this family grow up. All the releases of photos from George and Charlotte (and Lupo) have been adorable so I'm sure Louis will be amazing too.
